This quote appeared in an article entitled "Commit Goals To Paper" in the national publication of Investor’s Business Daily dated August 5, 2003.
John Koze, a corporate trainer in Long Beach, CA favors four-color pens when committing his goals to paper. "With four colors to choose from, you have color-coding for the level of importance of your goal," he said. "Red can reflect urgent goals and green can represent goals that you might otherwise ignore. Green doesn’t blend in, so it’s a good color if you want your goal to stand out on the page."
When Koze satisfies an objective, he has a ritual for celebrating his achievement.
"I run my pen over that goal," he says. "By literally putting a line through it, it feels really good. Checking it off just isn’t the same."
